Deceiver mushrooms (Laccaria laccata), so called because they are fairly variable in appearance and easy to confuse with several other small brown species. Less likely to be a problem at this time of year, when there are only a few other types to be seen.
Robin on a garden fence, only two yards or so from me, singing while its feathers were all fluffed up against the cold.

In front gardens on residential streets around here, yuccas which are treating the middle of the hardest winter for several years as their flowering season.
The full moon, late January. Early in the morning, it was shining through thin cloud. The halo of light surrounding the moon had a faint rainbow efffect.
