A collared dove, a regular visitor to the ground under garden bird feeders, after the grain which had fallen uneaten.

Wagtail by a bench, West Park
West Park pied wagtail, searching the ground near one of the benches for insects as it tried to dodge the many joggers and walkers. Directly I’d got these pictures, someone came by with a dog. The bird flew off to cover.

More signs of spring. Winter aconites flowering in Coppice Wood. Very near the street entrances, so they must have been planted their, but a welome sight when most of the wood has been turned into a lake with trees.
