Grey wagtail taking a brief pause on the edge of the Bylet at Bridgnorth. Seen on Valentine’s Day, when all the wagtails living by the Bylet were very active, flying back and forth, forming or strengthening the pair bonds as tradition claims birds do on that day.
The red of the bark and the wood under the bark are already distinctive in Chinese red birch trees. But when the birch peels back to show the wood beneath, it also creates attention-grabbing textures.
