Remains of the private swimming pool of Colonel Thornycroft, Victorian businessman and original owner of the house which became the core of Tettenhall College.

The pool is in the middle of the college wood on the slopes of Tettenhall ridge. An outcrop of the sandstone running along the side of the ridge can be seen in the background.
