Pied wagtail by the Southwold seashore. The bird had taken its territory on the end of a canalised stream, so small as to be almost dried up. It seemed to be endlessly searching the algae of the stream bed and the neighbouring concrete sea wall for invertebrate prey.

Ears down as close as possible to the skull and neck as this young rabbit hoped the sparse grass would be enough to hide it from my attention.

Chicken of the woods fungus growing on a willow by the Riven Wensum near the centre of Norwich. When I went back to the site the next day the fungus, a favourite for foodies, had all been harvested, cropped by a sharp knife close to the trunk.
