All year round, small groups of Canada geese from West Park fly around the west of the city, calling loudly overhead. In autumn, the birds’ instincts say it’s time to fly to mexico for the winter, so their flights are in much larger (and noisier) flocks.

These were part of a group over Bantock Park one morning.

A small patch of long grass in the wildflower meadow at Bantock Park, which spideers had covered in sheet webs. Heavy dew had condensed on the webs, which were then catching the morning sun.
