A tapered drone fly, a hoverfly, sunning itself on vegetation in the shopping centre at Perton.
Cluster of greater stitchwort flowers growing near the canal near Castlecroft bridge. At the moment they are in the hedgerow all aong the canal.
Yet another mallard family with recently hatched ducklings, these on the canal in the countryside near Castlecroft. The drake has stuck around, and is helping to watch over the young ones.
