When I took this picture, I had wandered along all the footpaths crossing the Barley Field, and this was the olny cowslip I saw flowering. A few more have since appeared.

The fallen branch which the West Park turtle uses for lounging in the sun is now becoming more popular with other denizens of the lake. Here a greylag goose gets in on the act
