Two harlequin ladybird larvae, on different leaves of the same hazel bush. There has been a lot of these beasties about these last few weeks.

Lively cucumber spider

Cucumber spider, tiny (less than half a centimetre long), visible because it was standing on a white plastic garden table. Common in gardens, but rarely seen because of their size and the colour their camouflage gives them among the vegetation.

Despite the weather having plenty of warm and wet spells, I haven’t noticed many fungi about. One, showing signs of age, was this in Coppice Wood. It may have been a freckled dapperling.
