Mould like fungus, white with a blue-green patina, growing on one of the logs marking the edge of a path through Old Nursery Wood.

Rooting shank (Hymenopellis radicata) growing in short grass in the open space next to the Northycote Farm wood.

Purple loosestrife, growing by the pool at Bantock Park. Some of the plants were very tall, rising well up to my eye level.

Cheeky Bantock Park squirrel ran across the path right in front of me, and started up a tree trunk. It paused half way up, kept one eye on me, and thrust one foreleg into a hole in the tree.

Fennel, or possibly dill. Growing on the site of the former local authority plant nursery, so quite likely an escaped cultivar.

Silk button spangle galls, circular with a depression in the middle, thickly strewn on the underside of an oak leaf. Common spangle galls, also found on the underside of oak leaves, rise to a peak in the centre.
