Wolves Wild

Purple loosestrife gropwing tall, flowering. These were in the marshy wildflower area by the Compton Park pond.

Comma butterfly, with the characteristic scalloped edges to its wings, feeding on thistle flowers.

The very start of this month, and acorns had filled out to their full size and shape, but were still as green as ever.

Earlier this month, as fewer and fewer flowers were left on the buddleia bushes. A red admiral, hungrily feedin on the nectar in the flowers which were left.
