Cross spider

Also known from the markings as the cross spider. The ones with the webs, such as this one, are the females. The males are smaller.

    Wow – absolutely amazing shot. What kind of camera do you use?

    The camera is the cheapest dSLR I could find.
    Getting the shot was more a matter of patience in finding a spider which was well lit somewhere where a tripod could be set up close by.
