Male common blue damselfly on leaf
Male common blue damselfly (the females are paler and harder to spot) resting on a leaf near the edge of the vegetation fringing the pool in Compton Park. The first one to arrive this year.
Female goosander seen flying upstream in the previous post, now landed in the middle of the Severn and being carried by the current floating back in the direction she originally came from. In the final shot, she disappears leaving only a circular wave, having dived for fish.
Female goosander flying quickly heading upstream above the Severn at Bridgnorth, possilby one of the three which had been on the riverbank a few minutes earlier.
