Male and female tufted ducks on the lake at West Park. The male’s tuft, normally prominent at the back of the head, can’t be seen because of the angle of the bird. The female’s isn’t normally visible, but is in some of these pictures.

Patches of penicillin mould growing on the skin of a well-rotted apple. The rot had already reached the stage where there were small piles of pale blue spores below, shed from the mould.
