Betony flower with a visiting bee, canalside opposite the Wildside Centre recently.
A hot midday. A heron flew towards West Park’s boating lake island, and landed high in the trees. In the few seconds while I moved round to get a clearer view of it, it had spread its wings and was sunbathing.
Orange ball tree flowers. The bush is a type of buddleia. In the right conditions it is attractive to butterflies – not on the evening these pictures were taken.
