Part way through the film, a first winter common gull flies in and lands just behind the swan. Common gulls not usually present on the pool, where the gull flock consists of black-headeds and lesser black backs.
I didn’t notice the common gull while recording.
Hazel catkins, male flowers covered in pollen which is carried by the wind to reach female flowers on another three. These close-ups are of catkins on one of the West Park hazels.

Christmas Eve, a dandelion clock with a full head of seeds not yet dispersed. Climate change means some plants are now starting flowering earlier in the year, and continuing to flower until later in the year.
The birds attracted to a garden seed-feeder in one twenty-minute period. Two titmouse species, a dunnock, and a brief visit by a blackcap.
