The inconspicuous flowers of dog’s mercury. Another plant of the woodland floor which gets its main tasks for they year done before the trees grow their leaves and put the ground into shade. Dog’s mercury can be found growing in Wolverhampton city boundaries in the small remnants of ancient woodland such as by Berry Brook at Northycote Farm, or like this specimen in Coppice Wood.
