The West Park turtle, still sunning itself on on log on warm days. Quite often there seems to be some goose or other nearby, watching or being watched.

Once again, mainly flowers I’ve seen while on exercise during lockddown. I’ve also sneaked in a basil plant, growing wild right by Lady Wulfruna’s Well on Gorsebrook Road.

Don't speak to them: two sets of goslings

Canada goose goslings by the edge of West Park lake. The pair of greylag geese with rather older goslings swam to the shore, climbed up the bank and headed for the nearest grass. Each family totally ignored the other.

The West Park greylag goslings, now growing fast, eating near the shore of the boating lake while supervised and protected by their parents.

Thin legged wolf spiders (genus Pardosa). All five were resting on the rim of the same bird bath, all at the same time. Were they sunning themselves
