There’s a small patch of bluebells every year by the footpath between the Railway Walk and the Barley Field.

The thorns on this thistle looked particularly spiky. The plant was growing in someone’s front garden.

They grow as robust woody vines, but wisterias are related to peas.

The flowers are showier and more fragrant, but somewhat like pea flowers. Later in the year the seeds will be in pods.

This fine mature wisteria is growing across the front of the Mermaid on the Bridgnorth Road.

It was a damp morning, so I didn’t hang around to see what happened next. These snails on the top of a wet wall could have been getting ready to get amorous, or facing up to a fight over territory.

I presume that the pink parts at the end of this structure are flowers. An exotic-looking ornamental tree in someone’s front garden.
