Lime flowers just beginning to open.

Quite common, though less so than the greater plantain. This one was growing by one of the footpaths in the Smestow Valley LNR.

This tiny and delicate flower can be used as an ingredient for a wine, a “champagne”, a cordial or a herbal tea.

The rest of the flowers on this bush had already started to open, but for some reason the ones on this twig were still waiting to burst.

Several marsh marigold plants were growing by the pool in Bantock Park.

This mass of chestnut flowers are actually growing on several different twigs: it’s just the angle of the picture which makes them seem to be forming one single bunch.
