Goslings ashore, West Park

To my surprise, both sets of greylag geese in the posts above led their goslings to a place where there was vegetation growing right at the edge of the lake.

Both sets of chicks scrambled out of the water: the more recently hatched with some difficulty. They all then started to look for something to eat.

It’s been over a month since I took these pictures. All the birds still seem to be thriving.

Different species of vetch in bloom. The white flowers ones were really tiny.
