A low-lying fungus, or perhaps a slime mould, on a tree trunk. Its surface was a patchwork of browns merging into purples and white.

Gloucester old spot boar (peeping out of sty) and sow (standing in the mud) at Northycote Farm. Both pigs have muddy noses from snuffing in seach of food.
