Cornflower in flower with its distinctive shades of blue.

Common blue butterfly warming itself in sunlight. As it moved it showed both its blue upper wing surface and its delicately patterned underwing.

Yellow plum growing on a tree with branches mingling with those of a blackthorn. The plums were ripe, some of the sloes seemed to be getting near.

Ravens can sometimes be seen along the Tettenhall ridge / Smestow valley area, but much less often in more built-up areas. Was this a young bird, heading away for a life apart from the parents?
