Young heron, Bylet, Bridgnorth

Young heron, Bylet, Bridgnorth

Young heron on the shingle bank connecting the Bylet with the old bridge at Bridgnorth. When someone startid throwing bread for the ducks and geese, it flew the short distance to join the throng, took a couple of pieces, then strolled back to where it had been once the bounty was over.

When I crossed the bridge a little while later, it was in the same place, now stretched out on the ground.
