Wisteria, Pen and Parchment, Stratford

Spring flowers in Stratford on Avon were well in advance of those in Wolverhampton, possibly due to the milder climate of the Avon valley. Being the sort of town it is, there were lots of impressive wisterias on display.

Those featured here, in full flower at the end of last month, were on the front of the riverside Pen and Parchment pub, on the side of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s New Place, and round the back of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Swan Theatre.
