Maize, almost ripe, close-ups
A footpath along the edge of a field of maize, almost ready for harvesting. Pictures of cobs, ripening about half way up the plants; remains of male flowers at the top, and triffid-like roots emerging from the soil.

A sunny autumn morning, a perfect time to stretch out and doze. Pigs at Northycote Farm. The ones on bare earth were young pigs, perhaps this year’s piglets, now well grown. The one on grass was mature, one of two in a different enclosure (its companion was resting up with the fence to close for a clear picture).
