Wolves Wild

Clusters of small mushrooms with bonnet-shaped caps on thin, delicate-looking stems. There were several patches of these growing in the beds of the Castle Grounds, Bridgnorth.

White berries, insted of the more usual red, on a rowan tree in the garden area by Lavington’s Hole, at the base of the sandstone cliff at Bridgnorth.

Redlead roundhead mushrooms, originally from Australia. In this coutry usually found growing, as here, on wood chip mulch. These were right by the side of the Severn at Bridgnorth.

This jay had been foraging on the ground in Himley Plantaion. It had just found something to eat, possibly an acorn, and flown up onto a high branch to have it undisturbed.

On my most recent visit to Himley Ppantation there seemed to be squirrels everywhere. These were two which paused as if to have their pictures taken, then retreated even though I was a long way off.
