Common darters, Male, Wetland Lake
Common darter dragonflies are already established on the new pool in Compton Park.
As previously mentioned, they like the woodwork of the footbridge for their perching positions.
There are three males in these pictures.
Each had his territory on a different stretch of the railing.
Shaggy parasols, East Park
Recently emerged shaggy parasols in East Park.
Like those in West Park at about the same time, these were growing under a patch of conifers.
