Winter seems to be hanging on for so long this year. Despite the dreary weather, there are signs spring is on the way. Yellow flowers are starting to appear, here some gorse opening.

Scarlet elf cups: old site, new site
Scarlet elf cups growing on fallen wood by the Railway Walk. Most of these are from behind the former Tettenhall station, the first site where I noticed these fungi growing in Wolverhampton a decade or so back. A few are from a new site, nearer Meccano Bridge.
