More of the birds attracted to the bird feeders in the Castle Grounds at Bridgnorth. Titmice were by far the most active.

Bird feeders have been put up at the Castle Grounds public park in Bridgnorth, and were proving popular the day I visited. This nuthatch paid several visits to the peanuts, even trying to get in through the not quite closed lid. For a change, it also sampled the mixed seeds.

A trace of blue-purple, a sign these mushrooms were blewits, one kicked over. Growing on a grassy area by the main road on Compton Hill.

Frosty feeding time, West Park
The same frosty morning as in the previous post, still in QWest Park. Many of the Canada geese were out, shortly after sunrise, nibbling at the frosty grass, casting long shadows.
Bright sunshine, early on the morning with the first proper frost of the winter, towards the end of last month. In West Park, one of the acers still had most of its leaves, nd stood in front of other trees and bushes likewise still with leaves.
