Bird feeders have been put up at the Castle Grounds public park in Bridgnorth, and were proving popular the day I visited. This nuthatch paid several visits to the peanuts, even trying to get in through the not quite closed lid. For a change, it also sampled the mixed seeds.

The same frosty morning as in the previous post, still in QWest Park. Many of the Canada geese were out, shortly after sunrise, nibbling at the frosty grass, casting long shadows.
Bright sunshine, early on the morning with the first proper frost of the winter, towards the end of last month. In West Park, one of the acers still had most of its leaves, nd stood in front of other trees and bushes likewise still with leaves.
Cauliflower fungus does look a bit like cauliflower from a distance, but not when seen really up close as in these pictures. These patches were growing on the moss and ivy on the top of a garden wall.
