A pair of Canada geese with goslings, and, a little further along the shore of the lake at West Park, a pair of greylag geese with goslings which were a little older.

A scarlet tiger moth caterpillar had somehow got inside the house. There was no vegetation in the room, so it must have made its entry after it had eaten enough to grow to the size it was.

The clusters of tiny white flowers on the top of the tall stems of jack by the hedge plants.

Cucumber spiders (this is probably a green cucumber spider) are apparently quite common. But they are tiny and easily missed.
