This series of pictures is of a Green Veined White butterfly feeding.

The classic weed of derelict ground.

Fungi can occur at any time of year, depending on species, but the summer is a relatively lean time.

This specimen was visible over a garden wall, but couldn’t be approached closely enough for the precise species to be identified.

The morning was cool and damp. so this bee seemed unconcerned as I got in near enough for this close-up.

Photo taken only a couple of yards away from yesterday’s slug, and at the same time.

The recent damp weather has encouraged all the slugs and snails to come out.
