Pattingham is just about visible on the skyline.

Also known as the hedge brown, this is Britain’s commonest butterfly.

These individuals, on the Saltwells LNR in Brierley Hill, were unusually cooperative.

The view looking towards the Wrekin (above) was taken in Bradley, Staffordshire. The corn field below was just outside Badger, Shropshire. Titterstone Clee and Brown Clee are just about visible on larger versions of the photo (click on picture to go to Flickr for these larger versions).

Just a small sampling of the variation in form of the seed-heads of different grasses.
