Orchids flowering in a damp meadow on the side of Toposcope Hill in Baggeridge Country Park.
I think they were early marsh orchids.
The first of yesterday’s goslings spots the shore, and responds with a burst of speed.
Closer views of the then-fluffy young goslings, previously seen with the adult birds.
These pictures were taken a month ago. I saw the family earlier this morning. All seven goslings are still thriving.
