Summer is a quiet period for fungi, but I noticed this red cracking bolete growing on the lawn in front of a block of flats.

It eventually got decidedly weathered and nibbled before someone noticed it and kicked it over.

There can be several visible at once on some sunny summer days by the banks of the Worfe at Worfield.
