This Easter bunny isn’t a rabbit but, like the German original, a hare (der Osterhase). It is indeed a German hare, keeping its head down in a field of young barley in the Rhineland during last year’s wet spring.

The tree they were on was growing in the small Packhorse Bridge Local Nature Reserve outside Hampton in Arden.

Robin on one of the bushes at the edge of Compton Rough. It kept alternating between preening its right shoulder and singing.

Occasionally it paused to watch its surroundings.
