Wolves Wild

The flowers are one of the last of the autumn. Here in mid-April the fruit were ripe.

Rooted in the mud below water, with the leaves (and flowers) floating on the surface.

Elms flower in February. By mid-April, when this picture was taken, the fruits (left) are beginning to develop. Even without the effects of Dutch Elm disease, it is rare for the seeds to ripen.
