West Park Conservatory backstage area again. This time rows of pot plants.

Mother in law’s tongue (top), money plant (above) and aloe (below).

This tiny group of poppies nevertheless grabbed the attention with their redness contrasting with the blue of the flax.

The trees in the background are covering the mound which is the perimeter of Chesterton Walls prehistoric fort.

The tiny green beetle is an Oedemera nobilis. Some websites claim it is called the flower beetle. It is described as being common in southern England, and most frequently found on the flower on which it is pictured here.

These were growing on a grassy bank by the Halesowen ring road.

These reed flowers were beginning to go over when this picture was taken early last month.

This goose was watchful but determined to stay in place by the Birmingham canal near the bridge carrying Cable Street.
