Tufted duck swimming in a circle on the River Avon at Stratford, contorting as it preened, twisting as it raised its front out of the water to attend to the feathers on its chest and stomach.

Not exactly cute little piggies
The River Avon at Stratford has a large population of resident swans, supported by the tourists who feed them. This was lunchtime, and the tourists had perhaps gone off to feed themselves. A large group of swans had come on land, and were in a circle, eating the short grass of the riverside Nine Men’s Morris.
