Some of West Park’s Canada geese marching in a line. They had all been feeding on grass, when they suddenly decided to start heading for they lake, possibly because they thought someone was arriving with bread.

Anthill, Welcombe Hills Country Park

Welcombe Hills Country Park, just a few minutes walk outside Stratford on Avon, a mixture of woodland and grassland leading to high ground with wide views over Arden and towards the Cotswolds. Most of the open areas are covered in ant hills, the work of millions of yellow meadow ants.

Milk cap mushrooms, Ring Road

Milk caps are a group of mushroom species which produce a “milky” fluid when their flesh is damaged. These were growing in the grass area between the lanes of the Ring Road St Andrews. I didn’t look closely enough to decide which milk cap species they were.
