I couldn’t get close enough for a clear inspection, but this looked like a lone clump of cotton grass growing in the pool at the end of the boardwalk on Kingsmead Marsh, Stafford.
A Canada goose vigorously disturbs the water of the lake at West Park as it bathes, perhaps following the example of the swam featured in the previous post – those pictures had been taken seconds earlier.
