On a recent visit to the south-west, it seemed every time I went near the sea there was a small flock of turnstones feeding, oblivious to human presence. These were just inside the harbour gate at Newlyn.

Treecreeper on willow tree

Treecreeper, one of a pair – the other one was just occasionally peeping out from the other side of the willow tree they were on. The tree was by the Stratford Lock on the Avon, not far from opposite another treecreeper haunt.
