Heron at the foot of Lucy’s Mill Weir on the Avon at Stratford. Peering intently like it was in hunting mode, with its gaze on the bank, not the water by its feet.
Male broad-bodied chaser, resting on a dry plant stem in Baggeridge Country Park. It was probably just a little bit too far from any of the numerous bodies of water in the park to have been in its territory.
