A damselfly from one of the emerald species, one of perhaps two or three which were flying with a larger group of common blue damselflies over a pool in Baggeridge Country Park yesterday. The same species was in the same area in June to August last year.

Suffolk: big skies
A short holiday in East Anglia. In the low-lying land near the Suffolk coast I was struck by just how big the skies looked compared with anywhere else I had ever experienced.
These pictures taken either on the coast or just inland along the Suffolk Coast Path between Southwold and the RSPB Reserve at Mimsmere.
