Yellow shell moths, quite common and sometimes day flying. These took short flights, then landed in or by hedgerows outside Worfield and by the towpath at Castlecroft.

Dragonfly on patrol, canal, Compton

Dragonfly on patrol along a stretch of the canal at Compton. One of the hawker species, but moving too fast and too irregularly for any clear views. There was one along the same stretch of water about the same time last year.
