Spotted flycatcher, Baggeridge

Spotted flycatcher, Baggeridge

Spotted flycatcher in bushes on the slope of Toposcope Hill, Baggeridge Country Park, earlier today. The only one of what sounded like a group of three or four which was actually visible. They were presumably taking a pause on the autumn migration.

Growing piglets, Mary Arden’s Farm

Mangalitza sow

Growing Mangalitza piglets at Mary Arden’s Farm. From two different litters, both in muddy enclosures, big enough to be on solid foods. Both sets with the mother sows. Also, in a separate but nearby enclosure, a grandmother sow. A third set of piglets, in a sty with flags for floor, may be Oxford sandy and black pigs.
