Wood blewit mushrooms growing under the hedge by the track at Northycote Farm. These were mature specimens which had lost the violet tinge in their colour.

The Northycote Farm turkey pair on a frosty and sunny morning earlier this month. The sun was low in the sky and behind them, lighting their wattles from behind and making them glow bright red.

Pretty much every time I tried to capture that effect, the birds would move their heads slightly so their wattles were shadowed.

Rose still in flower in the garden at Lavington’s Hole, Underhill, Bridgnorth, recently. Shot from behind the flower, with the sunlight passing through the petals, and also catching the supporting threads of the spiders’ webs on the bush.

The fourth of the titmouse species attracted to the feeders at Northycote Farm. Coal tits enjoying some seeds.
