Honeysuckle flowers seen on one of my recent daily walks – spring now well under way.

Female orange tip butterfly – only the males have an orange tip to their wings. Going from alkanet flower to flower, feeding on the nectar.

Bluetit on a garden bird feeder, getting inside the outer anti-squirrel cage to eat the peanuts.

Honeybee visiting alkanet flowers, gathering nectar to make honey.

Once more spotted on one of my daily exercise walks: horsetails growing through the tarmac of a pavement, its “branches” beginning to open.

Sometimes too tame, certainly too dependent on food people put out for them – or even grabbing the bread put out for the waterfowl, West Park squirrels.
