#lockdown – Gosling, big gathering

Gosling, big gathering

Fifteen Canada goose chicks in one group, feeding near the side of the West park boating lake. From three different families which, from the size of the goslings, must have hatched at about the same time.

One set of the parent birds right by the goslings, guarding and supervising. The other parents a little further away, on watch.

#lockdown – flowers, seeds, mainly wild

Yellow archangel

Once more, a collection of plants I have noticed on my lockdown walks and bike rides, mainly flowers, and mainly wild. The bean flowers and lavender flowers are from gardens.

#lockdown – family excursions

#lockdown - family excursions

A recent late-morning vist to West Park, and two sets of goose parents were shepherding their goslings across the boating lake at the same time. One set of the Canada goslings and one of the greylags, in their respective convoys.

#lockdown – Alderley Junction, early morning

#lockdown - Alderley Junction, early morning
